Get Involved

WHO GETS INVOLVED?

Any Rutgers Student can get involved with NAMI-Rutgers activities
  • Students interested in pursuing careers in related fields (such as psychology, public health, etc)
  • Students who want to make a positive impact on the campus community and beyond
  • Students dealing with mental illness
  • Students with family members and friends deal with mental illness
WHAT KINDS OF THINGS CAN I DO?
Students are at the core of our organization, so we’re always recruiting people to get involved in activities. Join our listserv to find out about opportunities to become active in our organization. Students can:
  • Assume an active role in the program planning process, which includes brainstorms, creation of an event schedule, materials purchases and creation, etc.
  • Help us get the word out about organization activities by handing out flyers, working at pre-event booths, and other public relations methods
  • Volunteer during events
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
  • Contact a NAMI-Rutgers representative to join our e-mail list to receive updates about organization activities.
  • Come to our meetings, Wednesdays at 9pm in Frelinghuysen Hall room A2. Meetins for the fall 2012 have ended, but stay tuned for the announcement of our first meeting in the spring!
